Attila Csikász-Nagy
Co-founder & CEO
Attila Csikász-Nagy, PhD, is a computational systems biologist who co-founded Cytocast in 2019 as a spin-out from Pázmány Péter Catholic University and has served as its Chief Executive Officer since 2021, splitting his time between academia and the start-up world. Cytocast develops computer-simulation technology to improve drug discovery and enable personalised medicine, centred on its Digital Twin platform, which uses high-performance computing and artificial intelligence to simulate billions of molecular interactions within virtual human cells and predict the efficacy and potential side effects of drug candidates before clinical trials. He earned his PhD at the Budapest University of Technology and Economics for work on mathematical models of cell-cycle regulation, and has held research positions at Microsoft Research and King's College London before leading groups in Italy.
