Executive Director, Process Development & Manufacturing

Dr Amadou Alpha Sall is Executive Director of Process Development and Manufacturing at the Coalition for Epidemic Preparedness Innovations (CEPI), a role he took up on 1 June 2025 after completing three decades at the Institut Pasteur de Dakar, where he ended his tenure as Chief Executive Officer. He is a Senegalese virologist with a PhD in Public Health and deep expertise in epidemic response and control, and at CEPI he focuses on strategies to expand regional vaccine manufacturing and supply chains to strengthen pandemic preparedness, particularly in Africa. His division was renamed from Manufacturing and Supply Chain to Process Development and Manufacturing in November 2025 to reflect its broadened remit.
