Abrar Almusharraf is Assistant CEO of the Labs and Research Sector at the Saudi Food and Drug Authority (SFDA) and a member of the authority's executive management. The sector she leads oversees the SFDA's reference laboratory network, which tests food, medicines, medical devices and products, and cosmetics, together with the research activity that supports regulatory decision-making. According to her published professional profile, she previously served as the SFDA's Executive Director of Biologics and as head of its biologics laboratory department, and before that as laboratory supervisor for flow cytometry and histocompatibility and immunogenetics at Dr Sulaiman Al Habib Medical Centers, and as a laboratory technologist in flow cytometry at King Fahad Specialist Hospital. She is based in Riyadh.
