Turki bin Ibrahim Al-Qahidan
Researcher in Archaeology and Geography
Turki bin Ibrahim Al-Quhaidan is a Saudi researcher in archaeology and geography, concerned with the archaeological sites of the Arabian Peninsula and with reading the historical geography of the routes, tracks and places named in early sources. His work rests on visiting sites in the field and documenting them with photographs and coordinates, then collating what he finds against geographical texts, inscriptions and local accounts in order to identify places and correct those that have been confused. He has helped bring lesser-known sites to attention and to tie material remains to the texts that mention them.
