Lt. Gen. Mohammed bin Abdullah Al-Bassami is Director of Public Security in Saudi Arabia, leading one of the Ministry of Interior's largest sectors, which covers police, traffic, security patrols, diplomatic security and special emergency forces. His responsibilities include internal security planning, enforcement, and securing major events and seasons including Hajj and Umrah. He rose through the security ranks to the directorship and has focused on developing policing practice and introducing technology into field operations.
