Dr Majid bin Abdullah Al-Moneef is an Advisor at the Royal Court and Chairman of the Saudi Association for Energy Economics, and one of the Kingdom's leading economists specialising in oil and energy markets. He was Professor of Economics at King Saud University, served as a member of the Shura Council, and represented Saudi Arabia as Governor to OPEC. He has written extensively on petroleum economics, energy policy and international markets, and his analysis is widely cited in debate on energy security and its effect on the national economy.
