Said bin Faiz Al-Said
Professor of Archaeology, Civilisations and Semitic Languages
Prof. Said bin Fayez Al-Said is a Saudi researcher and academic specialising in archaeology, ancient civilisations and Semitic languages, and a King Faisal Prize laureate. He has taught at King Saud University and contributed to excavations and studies of ancient inscriptions in the Arabian Peninsula, including Dadanitic, Lihyanite, Thamudic and Nabataean texts. His work covers reading, editing and contextualising inscriptions within the history of the ancient Arabian kingdoms, and he has helped bring the depth of the Kingdom's archaeological record to a wider public.
