Louis Blin

Former Diplomat and Historian

Dr Louis Blin is a former French diplomat and historian who served in the French foreign service with postings across a number of Arab countries. His research centres on the history of the Arabian Peninsula and Saudi Arabia, on Franco-Saudi relations and their origins, and on the Kingdom's image in European writing and French travel accounts. He has published books and studies in the field in French, working from the French diplomatic archive collated against Arabic sources — a combination few have undertaken.
