Maj. Gen. Hussam bin Abdullah Al-Rashid is Director General for the Care of Martyrs' Families and the Wounded at the Ministry of Interior, the department responsible for the families of security personnel killed in the line of duty and for the care of those wounded. Its work covers social, health and educational services for these families, following up their entitlements, and running programmes that preserve the memory of the fallen and connect their families with state institutions. He rose through security and administrative posts before taking up the role.
