Prof. Hessa bint Turki Al-Hathal is Chief Executive of the Saudi Museums Association, the professional body for developing the Kingdom's museum sector and supporting those who work in it. Her work covers capacity-building in curatorship, conservation and display, programmes connecting museums with the public, schools and researchers, and partnerships with the Museums Commission and cultural bodies. Her interests lie in cultural heritage and the ways it is interpreted and presented, and in the museum's role in preserving national memory and opening it to future generations.
