Dr Ahmed Al-Mousa is Assistant Professor in the Department of Social Studies at King Saud University in Riyadh. His field addresses social structure and its transformations in Saudi society, and the accompanying questions of values, identity and cultural change that come with development programmes. His work covers teaching, supervising field research and contributing to survey studies measuring opinion and social behaviour, with a particular interest in qualitative approaches to social phenomena and their historical context.
