Dr Abdullah Al-Rashid is a researcher in heritage and philosophy and an academic at Imam Muhammad ibn Saud Islamic University. His work addresses the reading of Islamic intellectual heritage and the methods by which it is received in contemporary Arab thought, and questions of reason and revelation and philosophy's place within Islamic culture. He writes in the intellectual press and takes part in seminars on renewing the study of heritage, combining a grounding in Islamic scholarship with engagement in modern philosophy, and a concern to clarify concepts before judging them.
