Abdulaziz Sager
Founder and Chairman, Gulf Research Center
Dr Abdulaziz bin Othman Sager is founder and chairman of the Gulf Research Center and a Saudi expert on Gulf politics, strategic affairs and regional security. He established the centre in July 2000 as an independent non-profit research institution, out of a conviction that the region's research gap should be filled from within the Gulf rather than outside it, through high-quality work covering its strategic dimensions. The centre has offices in the region and in Europe, issues reports and peer-reviewed journals, and convenes the annual Gulf Research Meeting in Cambridge, which brings together scholars and policymakers. He takes part in international forums on Gulf security and policy.
