Lead Architect
Valentino Gareri is an award-winning architect with over 17 years of international experience across Europe, the United States, Australia, and the Middle East. His career includes experience with globally renowned practices such as Renzo Piano Building Workshop and Bjarke Ingels Group (BIG), contributing to a design approach grounded in innovation, sustainability, and human-centered architecture.Currently based in Dubai, Valentino serves as Lead Architect at DLR Group, where he contributes to the design and development of major large-scale projects across the Middle East. His work has received significant international recognition, including the Europe 40 Under 40® Architecture and Design Award, the 2022 Sustainable Cities and Human Settlements Award, by the United Nations, and the International Prize for Sustainable Architecture – Fassa Bortolo. Valentino’s projects and design thinking have also received extensive international media exposure, with his work regularly published and featured by leading architecture and design publications, including Dezeen, Designboom, ArchDaily, and other international platforms. Beyond architectural practice, Valentino has contributed to the advancement of design and innovation at an international level. He has served as an Expert Evaluator for the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT) and as a Design Expert and Jury Member for the New European Bauhaus initiative of the European Commission, contributing to the evaluation and advancement of innovative, sustainable, and culturally responsive design.
