Salman S. Gasim is a prominent figure in Saudi Arabia's tourism and hospitality sector and the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Star, a company specialised in human capability development. Recognised among the Top 30 Leaders Shaping the Tourism Industry in Saudi Arabia by Hotelier Middle East and named Hospitality Entrepreneur of the Year by Arabian Business, he has contributed to the Kingdom's Vision 2030 human capital transformation. Since 2014 Star has enabled more than 50,000 professionals across hospitality, tourism and culture, and has developed professional certification and accreditation frameworks underpinning service quality. In collaboration with the Ministry of Tourism he has contributed to national strategies, training initiatives and workforce development programmes, and has forged a partnership with UN Tourism. He serves on the International Advisory Board of the HR Certification Institute and is Vice President of the Saudi-Swiss Business Council. He holds a bachelor's degree in International Hospitality and Events Management from a Swiss university and is completing a Doctorate in Business Administration at Warwick Business School.
