Emeritus Professor

Rajiv Erasmus is an Emeritus Professor at Stellenbosch University and an Adjunct Professor in the Department of Pathology at the University of Botswana and at the cardiometabolic health research unit of the Cape Peninsula University of Technology in Cape Town, South Africa. His work in chemical pathology has long addressed point-of-care testing: the evidence for its effect on patient outcomes, the error modes that appear once testing leaves the controlled environment of the central laboratory, and the training and quality controls needed to prevent them.
