Abdulrahman Mohammed Alsulaiman is a consultant in medical and molecular virology and Vice President of the Saudi Society for Clinical Laboratory Sciences. His clinical work covers molecular diagnosis of viral infections, laboratory methods for viral detection and characterisation, and the quality frameworks that govern molecular virology testing. Through the society he contributes to the professional development of clinical laboratory scientists in the Kingdom, to the localisation of the medical laboratory workforce, and to the academic and regulatory discussions that shape how laboratory science is taught, licensed and practised in Saudi Arabia.
