Assistant Professor of Pathology

Amal AlOdaini is an Assistant Professor of Pathology at Imam Abdulrahman Bin Faisal University and a consultant bone and soft tissue pathologist at King Fahd Hospital of the University. Bone and soft tissue pathology is among the more diagnostically demanding subspecialties, relying on the integration of morphology, immunohistochemistry and molecular findings to distinguish tumours that can look alike under the microscope. Alongside her diagnostic and teaching duties her research interests extend to tissue preservation, including the application of nanomaterials to the fixation and preservation of specimens.
