Manal Mohammed Lutfi Abudawood is an Associate Professor of Molecular Genetics and Cancer Biology at the College of Applied Medical Sciences, King Saud University, and Director of the Central Research Laboratory. Her research addresses the molecular biology of cancer and the genetic contributors to chronic disease. Directing a central research laboratory adds a second dimension to that work: maintaining shared instrumentation, method validation and research governance for investigators across the college, and sustaining the conditions under which laboratory-based research is reproducible and publishable.
