Jyoti Lalchandani

Head of WW Events and Managing Director, META, Central Asia and India

Jyoti Lalchandani is a business executive with more than 25 years of experience in emerging markets across Europe, the Middle East and Africa. As IDC's Group Vice President and Regional Managing Director for the Middle East, Turkey and Africa, he established the firm's presence in the region, first through the expansion of its Dubai headquarters and then by opening offices in Johannesburg, Istanbul, Riyadh, Casablanca, Lagos, Nairobi and Cairo. He is responsible for the planning, development and coordination of IDC's market intelligence and advisory services, sales, conferences and events, and go-to-market services across the META region. His areas of expertise include cloud, analytics, artificial intelligence and the Internet of Things, and he advises senior executives across the ICT ecosystem as well as CIO and line-of-business technology buyers. He joined IDC in 1995 at its CEMA headquarters in Prague as regional consulting manager, later overseeing the CEMA software practice. He graduated from Loyola College in India with a focus on strategy management and business policy, and attended a corporate-sponsored programme at MIT's Sloan School of Management.
