Head Geotechnical Engineer and Engineering Geologist

Ivan Poul focuses on earth retaining structures, mechanically stabilised earthworks, geotechnical investigation using CPTu and dynamic probing, and clay mineralogy and mechanics. He holds an MSc in Geology, Hydrogeology and Geochemistry and an RNDr in Geology with a focus on structural geology and rock mechanics from Masaryk University in Brno, and a PhD in soil mechanics from Brno University of Technology. His professional experience covers geotechnical investigation and tunnel construction supervision in the Czech Republic, advisory work on earth-fill dams in Iraqi Kurdistan, and geotechnical investigation of soft soils and volcanic ashes in New Zealand.
