Hassan A. Abbas

Hassan A. Abbas is Head of the Civil Engineering Department and an Assistant Professor at the University of Prince Mugrin in Madinah, Saudi Arabia, and holds a PhD in Geotechnical Engineering. His teaching and research interests include soil mechanics, foundation engineering, ground-improvement techniques, sabkha soils and sustainable geotechnical engineering, and his recent research focuses on evaluating the environmental performance and carbon footprints of foundation and ground-improvement systems. He has extensive academic and professional experience in civil engineering education, research, curriculum development and quality assurance.
