Bader Aljundi

Director, Digital Transformation and Innovation

Bader Aljundi works on the layer beneath digital transformation, arguing that most initiatives fail not on ambition or technology choice but on what is already in place: ERP customised past its documentation, integration held together by spreadsheets, data nobody trusts enough to decide on, and no shared view of what transformation actually demands. He has spent eighteen years in that layer across Saudi enterprises, covering technology architecture, ERP from Oracle and SAP through to mid-tier systems, data and analytics, governance and security, integration, AI and automation. He has worked at Savola, MYNaghi and Olayan, and now leads digital transformation and innovation at Emaar, The Economic City in King Abdullah Economic City. His current focus is the gap between individuals who can build capable AI applications in a weekend and enterprises that must meet data residency rules, security review and systems of record that cannot be replaced or bypassed.
