Racha Alkhawaja

Racha Alkhawaja is a C-suite leader with over 30 years of expertise in capital markets, fund management, investments and corporate finance across asset classes, with international and Middle East, North Africa and South Asia experience in growing, building and managing new business lines. She was selected as one of the Top 50 Most Influential Women in Finance in the Middle East by Financial News and among the top 50 Women of Influence in the Arab World by CEO Middle East. She is experienced in structuring complex private equity transactions and fundraising, with a network across Europe, the MENA region and Asia spanning international institutions, family offices, development finance institutions, multilateral development banks and investment firms. She is currently managing director of Gate Capital, an advisory and corporate finance house in the Middle East, an independent board member at Polen Capital Middle East, and an advisory board member of Imperial College London. She previously served as chief executive of TPL Investment Management, an ADGM fund manager focused on ESG and SDG linked asset management in emerging and frontier markets, and as a board director in TPL RMC. She was co-founder and chairwoman of Reach, a DIFC non-profit mentoring organisation for professional women. Earlier in her career she held senior posts at Lehman Brothers, State Street and Bloomberg in London, headed institutional business at Menacorp, and was group chief development officer at Equitativa. She holds a bachelor of science in mathematics from University College London, an MBA in finance from Imperial College London and executive education in commercial real estate analysis and investment from MIT.
