Alvin Zhao

Vice President, Investment and Asset Management

Alvin Zhao joined Shangri-La Group as vice president, investment and asset management in July 2024, reporting to the group chief financial officer. He is responsible for optimising the group's hotel assets and leading strategic investment opportunities including hotel management agreements, mergers and acquisitions and other growth initiatives. He previously spent a decade in London across investment banking, valuation advisory and accounting, beginning his career at KPMG before moving to Macquarie Capital and then Deutsche Bank, advising on more than five billion dollars of mergers, acquisitions and private placements across real estate, business services and industrials. He holds a master's degree from the University of Cambridge.
