Alaa Kara Ali is the founder and Chief Executive Officer of Metro Brazil, an e-commerce platform specialising in bringing Brazilian products to the region's markets. Launched in São Paulo in 2017, the platform offers more than 3,500 products, including premium Brazilian shapewear and hair and skin care, alongside sportswear and plus-size ranges. He established the company's logistics headquarters in Dubai CommerCity, making Metro Brazil one of the first Brazilian companies to set up a logistics base in the region, and a year later the platform reported growth of more than 30 percent. Kara Ali describes Metro Brazil as a bridge connecting Brazil to the Middle East and a destination for shoppers seeking authentic Brazilian products quickly and easily, crediting the Dubai base with faster shipments from Brazil and quicker delivery to customers across the region.
