Zhenyu Li

Zhenyu Li's field is membrane-based technology for water treatment, desalination and food processing, together with porous and polymeric materials and the sustainability of the water, energy and food nexus. He took both his MSc and his PhD in biotechnology at Prince of Songkla University in Thailand. Before joining the Saudi Water Authority he was a tenured professor at Northwest A&F University in China, and in 2019 he was selected for the Chinese Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security programme for high-level overseas talents working in China. He serves as an executive board member of the youth committee of the Chinese Society of Seawater Desalination and Water Reuse, as a research associate at the Kennedy School at Harvard University in the United States, and as a guest professor at the Center of Membrane Science and Technology at Prince of Songkla University in Thailand.
