Samar Abdelwadood
Researcher
Samar Abdelwadood is a researcher who has spent the past nine years designing systems for resource and water recovery from the atmosphere and for water purification. Her work runs from laboratory synthesis to pilot-scale validation, and on to techno-economic analysis and life-cycle cost assessment. She has developed and implemented machine learning and artificial intelligence across a range of applications and fields, bringing together material innovation, process optimisation and machine-learning-guided decision-making to address water scarcity and resource recovery challenges. She led experimental and modelling work on water generation systems, including deployment under real conditions and performance benchmarking in pilot-scale settings across the United Arab Emirates.
