Yiwei Gao

Prior to WAVR, Dr. Gao was a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Michigan, where he worked on integrating aerogel materials into parabolic trough solar receivers to improve efficiency at high operating temperatures. He has published multiple peer-reviewed journal articles and presented his research at international conferences. Dr. Gao brings deep expertise in polymer materials, system-level thermal and mass transport, and data-driven analysis, and is focused on developing innovative, practical solutions to global environmental and water challenges.
