Vasu Veerapaneni

Global Practice Technology Leader, Associate Vice President

Vasu Veerapaneni is Global Practice Technology Leader for advanced water treatment at Black & Veatch, with more than 30 years of experience treating municipal, industrial and mining wastewater for reuse, for disposal, and for zero liquid discharge. He has designed seawater, brackish water and reuse plants in Singapore, Hong Kong, Australia, South America, the Middle East and North America, and his work covers every stage of the treatment process, from feasibility studies and process evaluation and selection through pilot testing, procurement documents, start-up and operational assistance. He has also acted as lender's engineer, carried out financial viability evaluations, and worked on the development of design-build-operate projects for desalination and reuse. A further strand of his work is the assessment of emerging technologies for difficult waters, including high-salinity streams and reverse osmosis concentrate, on which he advises startup companies.
