Tyler Tay

Scientist

Tyler Tay is a water treatment and desalination specialist who leads the research and product development behind ForeverGone, Gradiant's solution for removing and destroying per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances, known as PFAS. The approach pairs micro-foam fractionation, which concentrates PFAS out of the water stream, with an electro-oxidation stage that destroys them rather than moving them into another waste. His work is dedicated to driving innovation in the treatment of PFAS and other emerging contaminants, and he holds a PhD in environmental engineering from Nanyang Technological University in Singapore. His research covers reverse osmosis, membrane fouling, seawater desalination, smart sensors for early fouling detection, and wastewater treatment.
