Tariq Nada is based in Acwa's office in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, and oversees the technical aspects of the company's extensive water portfolio. With a career spanning more than 25 years, he also sits on the boards of several companies linked to the company's desalination projects. His career began in 2001 in the operations and maintenance of power and desalination plants in Saudi Arabia, and he has accumulated wide industry experience since. He joined the company in 2015 as an Executive Manager on the portfolio management team and rose through the ranks on the strength of his deep knowledge of desalination from both the technical and the commercial side, covering operations and maintenance, sustainable strategies and profitability, as well as the full development cycle of bid proposals for water plants.
