Ruisi Chen

PhD Student

Ruisi Chen is a PhD student at Hamad Bin Khalifa University in Qatar, where her research focuses on the biological stability of drinking water distribution networks supplied by desalinated seawater. She received her bachelor's degree in Water Supply and Drainage Science and Engineering from Huazhong University of Science and Technology, and a master's degree in Municipal Engineering from Tongji University, where she studied the effects of quorum sensing molecules on biofilm formation in drinking water systems. Her published research includes a study of N-acyl-homoserine-lactones as a critical factor in biofilm formation during the initial adhesion stage in drinking water distribution systems.
