Omar Bamaga

Associate Professor

Dr. Omar Bamaga is an Associate Professor at the Center of Excellence in Desalination Technology at King Abdulaziz University, with a background in farm machinery and power engineering, and postdoctoral research experience in forward osmosis desalination. His research focuses on the applications of membrane systems in desalination, water reuse, and water recovery from humidified gaseous streams, as well as gas hydrate desalination and the use of desalinated water for greenhouse irrigation. In recent years he has contributed to nine research projects as Principal Investigator or Co-Principal Investigator, and has authored 38 peer-reviewed journal articles and several conference papers.
