Mohammed Antar

Professor

Dr. Antar is a Professor and Chairman of the Mechanical Engineering Department at KFUPM. He is the director of the desalination lab and founder and coordinator of a Master program in Water Treatment and Desalination. His research relates to thermal sciences with a focus on water desalination technologies, conventional and emerging. His main objective is effective energy recovery to improve the performance of existing conventional systems and to explore performance improvement of emerging desalination technologies such as HDH and membrane distillation, where high salinity can be used as feed solution. He has several papers and patents related to water desalination systems and has received several teaching and research awards.
