Mohammad Tariq

Lab Technician

Mohammad Tariq has a mechanical engineering background and hands-on experience in metallurgical and mechanical testing, materials characterisation and day-to-day laboratory operations in a research environment. He received a diploma in mechanical engineering technology from the College of the North Atlantic in Qatar, then joined the Qatar Environment and Energy Research Institute, part of Hamad Bin Khalifa University, where he supports research and development projects and root-cause failure analysis within the materials unit. His work runs from equipment procurement, installation and commissioning through routine maintenance, calibration and inventory control via a laboratory information management system, and he contributes to ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation activities and to quality, environmental and safety compliance. He is currently completing a master's degree in energy sustainability, strengthening his expertise in the interaction between materials and water, polymer chemistry and water quality analytics.
