Mohamed Mahtar

Head of the ENT Department

Mohamed Mahtar is a Moroccan professor of otolaryngology who heads the ENT and head and neck surgery department at the 20 Août Hospital, part of the Ibn Rochd University Hospital in Casablanca, which is affiliated with the Faculty of Medicine and Pharmacy of Hassan II University. In November 2025 the department took part in Morocco's first robot-assisted cochlear implant operations, carried out in Casablanca and at the Mohammed V Military Teaching Hospital in Rabat, and he commented on the precision these techniques provide.
