David Schramm

Neurotologist and Surgical Director, Auditory Implant Program

David Schramm is a neurotologist at the University of Ottawa and The Ottawa Hospital, where he is surgical director of the University of Ottawa Auditory Implant Program and holds a senior leadership role in the Department of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery. His practice covers otology, neurotology and lateral skull base surgery. He studied medicine at the University of Toronto, trained in otolaryngology at the University of Ottawa, completed a fellowship in Illinois and earned a Master of Science in epidemiology from Harvard. He also completed the Canadian Foundation for Healthcare Improvement EXTRA fellowship, serves as the NSQIP surgeon champion of The Ottawa Hospital, and has been part of its cochlear implant program, established in 1993, since its inception.
