Juan Arevalo

Project Leader

Juan Arevalo holds a degree in environmental sciences and a doctorate from the Department of Civil Engineering at the University of Granada in Spain. He has spent more than 20 years in public and private institutions carrying out research on wastewater treatment, drinking water, desalination and reuse. Since 2016 he has worked in the research and development department of Aqualia, the water business of the Spanish group FCC, where he develops projects on new desalination methods, the valorisation of brine, the regeneration of wastewater and the production of drinking water.
