Professor Jamel Orfi's research interests focus on desalination and energy systems and processes, and on renewable energy integration. He has led and participated in several national and international projects on power and desalination, solar energy, evaporative cooling, and brine discharge. He is among the team of the Desolination project, an EU-GCC project on the use of concentrated solar power waste heat in desalination.
