Jamel Orfi

Professor of Mechanical Engineering

He obtained his MSc and PhD degrees from Sherbrooke University in Canada. His research interests focus on desalination and on energy systems and processes, as well as on the integration of renewable energy. He has led and taken part in several national and international projects on power and desalination, solar energy, evaporative cooling, and brine discharge. He is among the team of the Desolination project, an EU-GCC project on the use of CSP waste heat in desalination.
