Dr. Harutoki Shimura has more than 15 years of experience in research and development of polyamide reverse osmosis membranes. His research has addressed membrane nanostructure, durability, and long-term performance stability, and he has played a central role in developing core technologies behind several brackish and seawater RO membranes widely used today. His work bridges membrane science and real plant operation, supporting energy-efficient and sustainable desalination through membrane innovation, system integration, and technical collaboration.
