Gunesh Rajan

Co-Chairman, Department of Otolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery

Gunesh Rajan holds the rank of titular professor of clinical-medical sciences at the University of Lucerne and is co-chairman of the Department of Otolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery at Luzerner Kantonsspital, where he also directs the Central Head and Neck Tumour Centre, roles he took up in 2018. He trained in otolaryngology at the University Hospital Zurich and completed head and neck and neurotology-skull base fellowships in Barcelona and Perth. He then served as senior lecturer and associate professor at the University of Western Australia, and in 2008 was appointed professor and head of otolaryngology, head and neck surgery there. His work covers head and neck tumours, skull base surgery and auditory implantation. He has more than 80 peer-reviewed publications and has attracted over 3 million Australian dollars in research funding.
