Dirk Karl is chief procurement officer at HUMAIN, the Saudi artificial intelligence company owned by the Public Investment Fund, and is based in Riyadh. He brings more than twenty five years of global experience in strategic sourcing, supply chain and information technology management. Before HUMAIN he spent eight years as chief procurement officer of MTN Group, leading its global sourcing and supply chain organisation across sixteen markets with a multi-billion dollar spend, work that drew more than twenty global procurement awards. Earlier he was chief information officer at General Motors, chief procurement officer and general manager at ING Group, and senior vice president at Deutsche Telekom.
