Didier Dillard

Didier Dillard is Chief Executive Officer of Orange Marine and Elettra Tlc, two subsidiaries of the French Orange group dedicated to installing and maintaining submarine cables with their own fleet of cable ships. He spent most of his career inside the group when it was known as France Telecom, and several years in the wholesale team of the American operator Sprint. He began in the France Telecom submarine cable division as project manager for new systems, then as the engineer in charge of installation projects aboard cable ships, then as director of marine operations, and was appointed president of both companies in January 2018. Submarine cable maintenance is work that becomes visible only when a cable breaks, and it is the layer on which intercontinental internet traffic depends.
