Assistant Head of Primary, Student Experience and Progress

Shahad Obaid is an educator with more than a decade of experience in student-centred school settings. Originally trained in pharmacy, she moved purposefully into education, completing a postgraduate diploma in education and continuing her professional development in educational leadership. Her work is grounded in inclusion, student wellbeing and school culture, and she believes effective education extends beyond academic outcomes to care, belonging and trust. She has worked closely with diverse learners, families and school teams, supporting students’ social, emotional and learning needs in inclusive environments. Her leadership perspective is shaped by both professional practice and her lived experience as a parent, which inform her advocacy for equity and dignity in education and her focus on care-centred, relational leadership.
