Redha Alahmad is Senior Manager for Cybersecurity in operational technology and industrial control systems at EY, one of the independent advisors shaping the technical agenda of this summit, and the moderator of its panel on standards, procurement and supply chain. His specialisation in industrial control systems specifically, rather than cybersecurity generally, places him in the layer where specialists are fewest: programmable logic controllers, distributed control systems, safety instrumented systems, and industrial protocols designed decades ago without authentication or encryption that still run working plants which cannot be halted in order to be upgraded.
