Ali Abdulla Hasan Alsadadi is Chief of Information Technology at the Ministry of Oil and Environment in the Kingdom of Bahrain. The ministry gathers under one roof two files that most governments keep apart: oil and gas wealth on one side, and environmental affairs and their oversight on the other. That combination is reflected in the technical infrastructure he oversees, which carries production and reserves data alongside environmental monitoring data, licensing systems and industrial oversight. Bahrain is the Gulf’s oldest oil producer, and its fields and refinery are among the longest-lived industrial assets in the region, which makes its operational systems a mixture of technical layers accumulated across decades.
