Badar Al Salehi

Director General, Oman National CERT

Badar Al Salehi is Director General of the Oman National CERT within the Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technology in the Sultanate of Oman. National computer emergency response teams are the apparatus through which a state receives reports of cyber incidents, coordinates response across sectors, issues early warnings and exchanges information with counterparts abroad. In critical infrastructure their role doubles, because a single incident at a power station or water network does not stay within the boundaries of the affected entity. Oman was among the first countries in the region to establish a national centre of this kind.
