Raed AlHazme is a seasoned IT executive with more than 23 years of specialised experience in healthcare information technology. Leading information technology at the Ministry of National Guard Health Affairs in Saudi Arabia, he has driven transformative digital initiatives across an expansive network of hospitals and clinics, and his leadership proved pivotal during the COVID-19 pandemic in keeping healthcare services running without interruption through innovative IT solutions. He was named Saudi CIO of the Year 2021, recognised as a CIO Legend by the World CIO 200 Summit in 2022, and named CIO of the Year 2023 by CXO Dx. He holds a PhD in Biomedical Informatics from Rutgers University in the United States and keeps an academic presence as an adjunct assistant professor teaching data science and health informatics. Under his guidance the organisation reached HIMSS Digital Maturity Quadruple Stage 7, and he has co-authored several scientific publications in digital health and filed four technology patents with the United States Patent and Trademark Office. His work extends globally through advisory and consulting roles that shape healthcare IT standards and practice.
