Ivan Bassato

Chief Aviation Officer

Ivan Bassato graduated in Transportation Engineering from the University of Padova and holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Advanced Management from ESMT Berlin. He has 27 years of experience in the air transport industry, spanning airport infrastructure, operations, airline management and aviation business development. He began his career as a transportation consultant before joining Aeroporto di Bologna in 2001 and later SAGAT, operator of Turin Airport, as Vice President Operations. From 2009 to 2015 he served as Director General Operations and Accountable Manager of Air Dolomiti, part of the Lufthansa Group. In 2015 he joined Aeroporti di Roma as EVP Airport Management, overseeing Rome Fiumicino and Ciampino airports and serving on the boards of ADR's telecom, ICT and security subsidiaries. Since 2021 he has led the company's Aviation Business Unit with full P&L responsibility. He is Chairman of UrbanV, which focuses on vertiport development and Advanced Air Mobility, and a board member of ADR Ventures. He is also pursuing an MA in International Relations and War at King's College London.
